Recipe Index

So how did you do your index? I use blogspot too and I have not been able to figure out how to organize my recipes I have on my site.
ReplyDeleteSo, this is a little complicated. A lot of different layers here, but basically, for this page alone, I created a backdated blog entry (you can do this under post options) and I manually update the index whenever I add a new recipe. I think that you could also use the "Edit Pages" versus "Edit Posts" option to create a stand alone page, but you are limited to 10 such pages. My index happens to drill down to lots of other pages, like "Appetizer Index" etc. It isn't bad to maintain because I started almost right from the beginning... Then, I just have a link to the recipe index page from the sidebar so that people can navigate to it. I also use labels, like I see you do, to organize things. There doesn't seem to be a great "out of the can" solution on blogger... Hope this makes sense!
ReplyDeleteThanks, this helps! I wish blogger made it easier! Maybe I will have my teenage son organize my index for me this weekend.
